The 1 Song That Ruins An Album?

It doesn't ruin the album, but Within You Without You from Sgt Pepper is plain bad! It would be bad on ANY album IMO.

 

I can live with "Fitter Happier" in the context of OK Computer (I would never play it apart from listening to the entire album)... but "Electioneering" is a struggle for me... as is "We Suck Young Blood" on Hail to the Thief. There were so many much better songs on the non-album tracks from this period.

IMO, YMMV, etc.

 

Different perspectives make the world an interesting place... it is one of the album's highlights for me.

 

I would have easily chosen Heartache Tonight without thinking any further. Not only is it a bad song, it is irritating and overplayed.

 

Rubbish! It is one of the Beatles best originals ever and should be promoted as such.

 

I used to avoid it but now I quite like it. I think it's one of the most genuinely spiritual songs.

 

"Hard To Believe" sticks out like a sore thumb on Pisces Aquarius Capricorn And Jones Ltd.

 

Revolution 9 wins the ruin award.

 

"Mind Gardens" from The Byrds' Younger Than Yesterday. I love David Crosby, but this one stinks.

 

"Bullet" is probably my 2nd favorite U2 song!

 

One bad song cannot ruin an album.
Two bad songs can damage an album.
Three bad songs in a row may have the album removed from spindle.

 

It's a good song, actually. But unfortunately, IMO, it's also the worst track from OK Computer

Zilch and Band 6
on The Monkees Headquarters.

 

Electioneering is top notch !

"Monica" on "Village Green Preservation Society" totally ruins the mood for me.

 

Trolling, surely. The track is now regarded by most musicologists as being the centrepiece of the album. An outstandingly good track imo.

 

Sister Morphine.

 

Yeah, it's not great. I find it annoying.

 

The song is integral to the theme of the album. I am totally against you on that one!

 

An unnecessary track, IMO.. The rest of the album are good BTW..

 

Well, it is in the middle, yes. But if you're saying it has risen in critical esteem above ADITL I can't really buy it.
