Years ago I heard of Ringo mentioning After Geography, and something about Circles.
Anyway, Paul suggested (my personal favorite out of the ones I've heard) Pendulum.

The recent and highly excellent book Beatles '66 by Steve Turner has some fascinating details on this, I checked it out from the library but it's worthy for me to eventually buy.

I've always thought "Four Sides of the Eternal Triangle" was pretty funny and interesting.

To add context: that was a joke related to the Stones album "Aftermath". They never actually considered it as a title...

I have no problem with the title. It's just the cover that sucks ! I very much prefer the original Robert Freeman design.

"My" first copy of Revolver was my dad's old cassette copy, which had a lot of the type on the casing worn off. For that reason, the title of the last song on the album was a mystery to me for a while. I could make out "Tomorrow N**** ****s," and my best guess was "Tomorrow Night's Dreams". I've ever since thought that would make a great title for any album!

That is the name that I remember as being the one that was nearly chosen. A better title as the contents are so magical and rich.
If "Abracadabra" had been the title, accompanied by a more appropriately colourful and psychedelic album cover, the world wouldn't be raving about "Sgt. Pepper's" as being THE most iconic album of the era.

Why anyone would want to change what is the finest album title in the history of pop music is beyond me.
Espcially if it's for something as "Abracadbra". Why not "Open Sesame" while we're at it ?

For the US market, how about "Beatles X" or "The Beatles' Tenth Album"? :)

I doubt any of the working titles were ever seriously considered. Probably just the boys sitting around and cutting up about titles. Or a funny little quip by Ringo to John in passing.

Oh well, at least Creedence got to use it four years later...

In the US, it could have been "Beatles '66"

Speaking of 1966, I recommend Steve Turner's book BEATLES 66, The Revolutionary Year.

    "REVOLVER" Rules!!!!
Why... and how could anyone think about another LP title...
The art work cover by Klaus Voormann was and is superb!
This is what the four decided, and it was perfect.

Occasionally a Fab4 thread irks me... like this one.
    What purpose, just revisionism bs.
Working titles are cool, and interesting... but how and why does it come to this.

    What a weird post.

This is a discussion board. The group went with one idea but there's no harm in discussing the others purely for curiosity's sake.

Here's a tip ; if you don't like a thread and it's that easy to irk you, maybe you shouldn't click on it.
