Off topic, but if you have SiriusXM, The Beatles channel is in the middle of playing the entire Egypt Station album, including interviews with Paul.
really? How do you rank the FAKE US albums box in comparison (sadly using the 1987 stereo remixes when the 1965 stereo mixes were made available) for mastering and source material? as compared to the Capitol Years Boxes Volume 1 &2?
I was expecting you's pick that out...LOL well at least you understand the question now...and yea, it's still A FAKE IMO...can you except that? I'm sure you can...IMO means just that...IN MY OWN OPINION for me it's a FAKE. : ) CARRY ON WITH THE NEXT NAY -SAY...
That's YOUR OPINION...Fake is my OPINION...so, if it's not your opinion it's not viable? LOL...go figure the question out. : ) we're so curious of your answer...Thanks man...
Luke sorry my question wasn’t clear. Of the box sets featuring the US albums, which uses the best sources and features best mastering: the two Capitol volumes, or the US albums set?
There's no simple answer. For the unique US mixes, I think they are pretty similar. @slane may have more of an opinion. For the mixes common to both sets, the US Albums box uses better *sources*, but the mastering is something of a mixed bag. In the case of the stereo Something New, the Capitol box version uses a tape nearly as good as the UK AHDN master, but arguably has better mastering.
and so you should...I don't expect you to not like it...BUT it sure bothers you that I don't or you would not make any snarky comments directed at me...peace and luv brother. Ignore the Michael.
Only used fake to describe those s Interesting, I asked Luke which of the Capitol Albums he recommends as having better source material and mastering (Capitol Albums or US box) you took over for my question speaking for me adding your own snarky comments. Will unsubscribe to this thread! Too much debate and arguing that goes on!!
