The Beatles Long Boxes

Interesting that there are no bids on these after 4 days....

 

I very surprised that these have no bids. I'd bet that if Perry Cox was auctioning them they'd get at least $50 each.

 

Wonder what happened to Abbey Road and the White album?

 

For those who originally purchased the CD's in 1987/88, who saved the long boxes?

 

Before I moved to where I currently live, I had a full closet of MINT longboxes for every CD I purchased. I had the Beatles Longboxes, and I actually have a picture of me setting up the Beatles display in the record store where I worked at the time, full of theses longboxes.

Anyway, my wife "made me" throw out all the longboxes as we were packing to move - since she didn't really see the need for empty cardboard that had no use. I guess I can't blame her, some of the "junk" I collect and save sometimes even gets me wondering what I am thinking.

 

I think I've heard that around here maybe once or twice.

 

DAmn! Went for $10.00!!!

That's cheaper than going to Best Buy and buying the CD without the longbox!

At least the seller did not pull the auction. WOW! Bet he thought he had something special there. Sure wasted a lot of storage space over the years for a LOSS!!!

I have, including the 3'' singles set. I've also gotten duplicates from other buyers who decided they had no room for them. I've carefully separated the glued flaps and flattened the long boxes, and they store quite well that way in a sealed plastic box.

 

I held on to them for a while, then tossed them.
I have too much **** already!
