A picture of the record would make the article a lot better.

I've got the ultra-rare "Lenin-McCarthy" single, currently valued at over two million dollars.
I'm holding onto it for sentimental reasons.

This would have only been sent to radio DJs, right?

I presume. Also, maybe other people connected with promotion (like reviewers from Melody Maker or NME).

No, but my brother had a single by Tull that was credited to Jethro Toe. And gave it away many years ago!

As you should, Vladimir Lenin and Charley McCarthy were an underrated songwriting team. My favorite song from their catalog is ‘How Can I Control the Means of Production with Your Hand Up My A$$?’

yes I have one, slim chance it may even have been John's copy too ( sadly not provable ), its not the misprint thats a side issue - it is because its a demo, all the demos are misprinted as far as i know...

thats right Arnie, they are stamped in the deadwax JR for journalistic review, a practice emi ceased mid 65, after that demo's had standard mother stampers, usually low ones like 1G 1G

I have the US copy of the "Uncle Albert / Admiral Halsey" 45 where on one side his name is spelled "PUAL", don't s'pose that would be as rare.

all UK beatles demos are fetching big money these days but LMD has always had a big premium attached to it because it probably had a much smaller run than the other demo's as they were unknowns

I have a couple of questions about this promo single which I do not find answers for in the article referenced. What country was this pressed in? And was it produced at the time of release or after the infamous Epstein-Lennon holiday to Spain? The reason I ask is that I thought the credits would read McArtney-Lennon.
