    One of the few cases I can think of where another British beat group did a way better version of a song than the Beatles.

    Absolutely. I was going to post nearly half the album but I figured leave well enough alone. She's Such A Beauty and Fresh As A Daisy are two others I'd have posted...and then of course there's, Lullaby which comes straight out of "McCartney-acoustic-ditty" 101. I'm also surprised no one's acknowledged Elliot Smith.
