We have a few Complete Season releases, and some Ultimate Collection sets as official releases and that's about it… Hmph! I keep hoping for future season sets but I guess it isn't in the cards.

Yes, it has been some time since another AUTHORIZED set hit the market.

Wonderful TV comedy. Good values and rib splitting funny at the same time...
now, mostly mindless junk. Too bad

While we're at it, how about the rest of Green Acres?

I agree, Green Acres may be my fav show of all time! Have you found them on Hulu? Clean prints of all episodes, every season... Might be the best we get for seasons 4 through 6.

I haven't looked for Beverly Hillbillies on Hulu.

I didn't even know the show was on Hulu! Very cool. I assume there's a cost involved?

Agreed that Green Acres is a riot. Very ahead of its time.

No cost for the basic, but you have to sit through occasional commercials.

I do hope we see more of the Clampetts on dvd (or blu-ray!), but somehow I doubt it will happen. I'm bummed that they didn't keep releasing discs until they got to the season with my favorite episode, The Great Tag Team Match.

I would enjoy an authorized complete series set for a reasonable price. Under $50 would be perfect.

I'd buy that in a heartbeat but the show ran for 9 seasons:

I think we'd be looking at more like $150+ for it (which I'd happily pay- especially if all the episodes were remastered).

I've been patiently waiting as well for a continuation of the series! have a ton of BH including all the crummy PD releases...it's a jungle out there in Beverly Hillbillies DVDS!

Which DVD sets of The Beverly Hillbillies are the ones to get? Really wished they had put this show out in season sets years ago (and finished Green Acres).

The "Official Season" sets are the ones with the best picture quality, but they only released seasons one through three as far as I recall.

Can you supply a link? I wanna make sure they are the correct ones. Darn, it! I'd love to have Season 7 on DVD - Jethro as Robin Hood, Hippies, England, getting drafted, etc.

Just make sure you only buy the ones that say "Official ___ Season" in the title, like this one: http://www.amazon.com/Beverly-Hillb...369175016&sr=1-2&keywords=beverly+hillbillies. I initially had the Ultimate Collection dvds and the picture quality on the official season sets is noticeably better.

I feel the same way. I'm particularly upset about both Beverly Hillbillies dvd releases stopping so early in the show's run because many of my favorite episodes are from later seasons.

Just saw an episode come on "RetroTV," and the theme was an instrumental. Were there early episodes that used an instrumental theme, not the one that told the story of "a man named Jed," or is this some abbreviated thing to allow more commercials to be inserted? If it's the latter, that really, really sucks!

The first season and half of the second are public domain - but the theme song isn't.

There are many PD DVDs out there with replaced theme song music, as not to run afoul of the law.

Perhaps RetroTV is running PD episodes to save some money.
