    Wow, I'd say so!

Do you have the recording dates or record numbers for these two songs?

"While You Are Gone" from the LP - Voices In Love
    Master #19640 Capitol EAP3-1074 (S)T1074
    (July 15, 1958 Capitol Studios)

"Oh Lonely Winter" from LP - The Four Freshmen and Five Guitars
    Master #31917 Capitol EAP3-1255 (S)T1255
    (June 17, 1959 Capitol Studios)

Great stuff isn't it? Sometimes they sound almost identical.

Wow, that old? Thanks. Brian sure dug those guys. Thanks to the Beach Boys, the Four Freshman don't sound cornball to me at all.

    Thanks again!

Those two songs are the most like the "Beach Boys," harmony-wise, but whenever I hear them sing, it sends shivers down my spine - so modern, so beautiful. Man, the chords they hit - not too many vocal bands can even touch this stuff. Then again, they were two brothers, a cousin, and a friend also - so there you go. Something to be said about that. I highly recommend the Mosaic box set.

Thanks for sharing that. Incredible harmonizing.

I've got zippo BB in my collection. Anyone care to recommend a starting point? Even a best of compilation is OK.

What are your interested in Stereo or Mono? I'll give you both...

For Stereo get Steves 2 CD Set On Razor & Tie 40 Songs.
For the Mono Single Mixes-Greatest Hits Vol 1 & 2
For the later Brother years-Greatest Hits Vol 3.
That should put you in the right direction.

Hopefully you won't become a Beach Boy maniac with over 100+ CD's....
