Being an Osmonds fan this was the first clip I ever saw of The Brady Bunch Variety Hour.



Just wondering how they got Robert Reed to do this show.

Reed happened to fit the classic gay male stereotype of loving musical theater. Though he had little discernible talent in either area, he was excited about the opportunity to sing and dance.

 

The only television show proven to cause cavities.

 

Money may have played a part in it, but he was also always very fond of the kids, so he may haved liked the idea of the show so he'd have a chance to work with them again.

 

Not even Mr. Dees himself could save this embarrassment.

 

In a nutshell, terrible.

 

Here comes some Brady Bunch Vomit Hour.

 

Eve was the only one with any sense or dignity to take a big pass on this disaster.

 

Good thing she did.

I was a fan of the original show in the 70s. I was 13 and thought it was cool this series was happening. But I didn’t even make it through the first 15 minutes. Truly horrible. And I hated disco at the time, so that didn’t help things.

 

I’m a friend of Geri and she really is a very talented lady. She does the rounds of the Chiller Conventions and other celebrity meets and is quite a lovely person to meet.
