  1. The only worthwhile thing about The Brady Bunch was the ‘90s movies. And, of course, Robert Reed’s script notes/essays.

I actually remember watching this show as a little kid with my family.

IIRC there was a “Send In The Clowns” bit that was particularly and intensely cringeworthy.

I don’t remember the family conversations on this or how many times we ended up watching it, but its memory is still with me. I was 7. It made an, um, impression.

I love it! I watched The Brady Bunch reruns in the day, and then when I heard there was going to be a new show at night I was ecstatic.

Geri Reischl’s tribute to Ann B. Davis, she performed it at the NJ Brady Bunch convention a couple of years ago.

That was painful to watch. Donny and Marie should have feigned illness to get out of it.

Not good for teenage boys who had a thing for her. In that final season, Eve Plumb was THE reason to watch the show.

My biggest memory of this show was being quite enamored with how Susan Olson had really filled out very well! Don't know how old she was at the time but she had quite the figure.

We all of us Fake Jan Day, don't we? (Geri Reischl aka Fake Jan, celebrates "her day", as do many of us fans, on Jan.2. Doesn't hurt that that's a few days after her birthday, 12/31.)

The episode with Tony Randall was probably the only time that Dame Edith Sitwell was ever mentioned in a Brady Bunch context.

Thats certainly could be, but it could also be that he needed a payday.

Didnt they promise Barry Williams, it was gonna be" The Greg Brady Hour" or something and that's why he decided to do it?

  23. I guess that means there won't be any memos surfacing about how the show was an abomination to the traditions of musical theatre, then...

She's at the Chiller shows in New Jersey all of the time. Nice lady but I think she went a little overboard on the boob job.

He didn't need the payday. He was coming off back-to-back Emmy nominations for his work in the Rich Man, Poor Man and Roots miniseries. His career was going just fine.

Reed happened to fit the classic stereotype of the gay man who LOVED musical theater. That's the reason he took the job on the variety show, despite having no discernible musical talent. He wanted to sing and dance, even though he couldn't do either at a professional level.
