The Camera Obscura Appreciation Thread

Was just listening to Desire Lines tonight with my girlfriend and (once again) admiring this great little band. Was going to bump the thread for the album, but it has since expired. I figure they are well worth a devoted appreciation thread.

 

I love them. My favorites are Underachievers Please Try Harder and Let's Get Out of This Country, and I think their best song is "Books Written for Girls," which is devastating. May Carey Lander RIP.

 

Underachievers Please Try Harder is my favorite album of theirs! But all their albums are great.

 

Great band. I just wish they were a bit more active but I understand they've been through some difficulties.

 

I like them. Great melancholy songs. Sorry to hear they lost their keyboardist.

 

great band, Tracyanne Campbell's voice is like honey.

 

Fell in love with My Maudlin Career this last year. I adore both it and the other 4AD record Desire Lines.
