Howdy. I'm a big fan of '90s alternative acts, some examples being Wilco, Nirvana, and the subject of this thread, Collective Soul. Collective Soul is such a great act in my opinion. Their style is unique. Post anything Collective Soul related here, videos, photos, recordings, etc. Thanks, Ryan
Played the first few records to death during my college years. My girlfriend at the time loved them. Saw them live quite a few times and they rocked. I have almost all of their albums and they are quality throughout. The greatest hits disc is a great starting point.....not a bad song on it! The band is probably a bit underrated. They had a bunch of hits and the debut is a classic.

Ed Roland and Jesse Triplett's quarantine project, The Living Room, is releasing an LP as a part of Record Store Day's Black Friday exclusive on Friday, November 27. This release is different from the original songs released under The Living Room EP. More songs have been added to this limited edition long play vinyl: Order now: "The Living Room" LP - Ed & Jesse's Quarantine Project
One of my top 5 favorite bands. Can't wait for Blood Pt. 2, or whatever it's called. I just hope Comes Back To You finally makes it onto an album.
many of Ed Roland/Collective Soul's songs from the 1990's have aged very well - and Billy Corgan's lawsuit against him was largely without merit.
I have a local FM station KPRI (now defunct) compilation CD of live recordings of various groups when they performed here, a few mention the station so must have been sponsored and or in studio. Seen them 3-4 times, most recently a few years ago in Montana. They are playing here again next month, but I am seeing Extreme that same night. They still rock hard, but I do miss Ross Childress. Triplett is great on solos, but his lead work is lacking in my opinion. That said, Observation of Thoughts from their last album is one of their best ever songs. They still got it.
Can anyone tell me about the recent "Disciplined Breakdown" expanded remaster? I'm skeptical the remaster of the main album will actually improve anything, but how is the live show on disc 2?
I streamed the live concert. It was really good. It was great listening to the original band, when they were still young, rip at these songs. And I think it was a complete concert. It definitely was a good length.
I've been curious about the Disciplined Breakdown bonus tracks too. I also just found something called "Come Together (Live 1994)". It appears to be a 10-track live album that was released only on streaming platforms, but I can't find any other info about it anywhere: {{metadata.ogTitle}}
Put Vibrating on again last night, and it continues to grow on me. Not as many songs jump out as they did on Blood, but possibly a more consistent overall LP. Hope they come back through Montana this summer!
Another thread mentioned they were supposedly working on multiple new albums at least two. Has anyone heard any news of that?
