Also my own favourite :righton: a great portrayal that carried the film really, it certainly hasn’t got an IMDB rating of 7.5 because of the acting abilities of Winona Ryder or Keanu Reeves

How about Dracula vs. Frankenstein from 1971. Great cult classic.

Dated 70s style. Countess Bathory is evil and kinky. A favorite.

Another favorite. Made after Coen Brother's Blood Simple changed the way movies looked.

This one still holds up, IMO. Lots of fun to watch.

That really is a good movie despite the embarrassment that is Keanu Reeves.

Well, now that someone's actually done a King story correctly with It, they need to make a better version of 'Salem's Lot. Both the miniseries' had their moments but neither really do justice to the book.

That's a fun one! Dracula speaks with a heavy echo on his voice, and the monster kills Forrest J Ackerman!

I know. It may have been the first movie I ever saw back in the '70s. The ring is so cool!

The 1977 BBC production Count Dracula is more faithful to Stoker than most screen versions, and the late Louis Jourdan is very effective as the good Count. You can watch it in full on YouTube.

Here's Orson Welles starring as Dracula in the inaugural episode of CBS radio's The Mercury Theatre on the Air (July 11, 1938):

Always liked the cover design from this old paperback edition:

Anyone know if Count Chocula is going to be in stores again this Halloween? I know they stopped making it a few years back but decided to bring it and Frankenberry back around the holiday the last couple of years.

The first time I saw it, ages ago, I was disappointed because it wasn't the horror fest I expected. I watched recently and loved every minute of it.

I definitely remember that cover. I may have owned it but can't be certain.

A film I haven't seen since the VHS days, meaning I'm long overdue. And a super groovy song as a bonus!

We really need that Horror Of Dracula restoration over here in the states.
Was hoping we would get it this year for Halloween.

Wonder how long after Bauhaus recorded this song that someone told them they pronounced Bela's first name wrong.
