There has been some speculation that MFSL's 3 albums, UDCD 564 Robert Cray: Strong Persuader, UDCD 565 Tom Petty: Hard Promises, and UDCD 567 John Lee Hooker: The Healer, should be available as a UD1.

A lot of the longtimers here have only been able to confirm these in UD2 format so far.

Can anyone confirm via photo or scan if they do happen to have one of these rarities? Thx.

    No photoshop experts please.;)

    Hi Claus,

could you please check your CD and post a picture of it if it is really a UD1?

As Dave I have been looking for these three titles as UD1 and never could find any of them!

Yes Peter, I read the MFSL bible too.;) You'll also notice that both Tom Petty, Claus's picture, and John Lee Hooker, on John Harp's page, are the only MFSL's that don't state whether they are UD1 or UD2 on the back panels.

My MFSL copy of HARD PROMISES is a UD2, although there is no mention of the version on the back cover.

My copy of STRONG PERSUADER is a UD2 as well, with the correct designation on the back cover.

Sure Gary, you go right ahead although with Steve, Joachim, Claus, and myself owning only the UD2 versions I highly doubt that they even exist at all.

Surely they would be the find of the decade if in fact they do exist and would make those Jazz and Classical samplers look like a cheap thrill in comparison to what these would fetch.

Why are you rummaging through your collection Gary?

Looks like I might be the only one here who has one of these ultrarare UDI's.

Dave, this disc's got your name all over it. Send me a PM if you're interested in a trade or want to make me an offer I can't refuse.
