Oh my gosh. I just heard this off the McIntosh streaming player. Now I know I could have been a rock star if this is all it takes.

And we, your listening public are all the worse for it. Better luck on your next go round.

What don't you like about it? Is it "too weird" because the lyrics are nonsensical and it doesn't follow the rules that a "proper" song does?

not my favorite tune of theirs, but was definitely by introduction, wasn't until years later when I heard Yoshimi that I became a believer

I'm sorry but did you really need to start a new thread just to say you didn't like a song/album? Not only is it pretty pointless I think it's against the spirit of the board.

I am a huge Flaming Lips fan but this is probably my least favorite song of theirs. The lyrics are pretty dumb. They are almost as stupid as a song about a yellow submarine or being a walrus.

I, too, find this documentary important for those who only know "the Jelly song"!
I totally dismissed the band.....from the first EP to the Restless years, thinking they were just another '60's wanna-be' band. Their move to Warners, I thought they had jumped on the 'grunge' bandwagon. It wasn't until I read the review for "Zeireeka" that I even gave them the time of day...... Their story of stamina is quite inspirational. Now, I own it all.

I've really enjoyed your posts in a bunch of threads.

But I'm making a sad emoji in my heart with this Grandpa Simpson yells at cloud thread. I'll just never understand the impulse to get up in the morning and start a disliking discussion at SHF.

    Do you realize?

I do realize....and this is the new music business model? I guess it did fill in the last song for finishing the album. I would have left this up to Weird Al Yankovic.

This song is over 21 years old and is the 4th song on the album...not the last.

There are many many many more simple, lo fi songs that I adore...... Jelly is actually pretty complex in comparison to simple amateur yet fantastic songs by for example..... The fall, wedding present, Palace, jamc..... Check them out on yer streamer and weep tears of joy!
