Just me talking but any guitar that you can't play sitting down is worthless I just don't get the appeal.

Who was the first big artist to use one? Earliest I can think of is Lonnie Mack.

Lonnie Mack put a Bigsby on his. Super cool. And really looks like it's gonna come off at any moment.

Andy Powell really gave Schenker direction. With the V and style too. Michael has said so. Love 'em both. Saw Michael a few years ago so great. Singer kind of generic but Michael was awesome.

That Tele V has got to be one of the ugliest guitars ever. Never seen that. Wow.

Trippy combo of V and SG, Dean guitars, they make good stuff, this one?

I think if this had come out it would have been just as iconic a shape as the V, if not more so. It would have gone down well in the 80s with New Wave bands but would have struggled up until the mid 60s I would imagine.

Yeah you can do it I guess but note the need to have the bottom of the guitar below the chair seat. You wind up either needing a special seat or leaning forward to attain playing posture. If the player wants to make that sacrifice all the power to ' em.

i think that's why it is predominantly considered the "rock" guitar. it's rare you want to sit when you are rocking out.
