You have 30 minutes to edit a post. Auto correct does strange things sometimes. And it is poorly equipped to deal with our vernacular. Mine's learning, though.
I know, I kept adding songs to that post and added El Paso at the last minute. I caught Siri once trying to change the spelling and I thought I corrected her, but she snuck in the chicane again without me noticing. But, really, this is just how Siri and I flirt.
Cosmic Charlie from Aoxomoxoa was played on XM's Deep Tracks this AM. Too bad it was the remix version! (Ha ha - the version before was better!)
Finally digging into the July 1978 box, first up is 7/1/78 at Arrowhead Stadium. Like the idea of a continuous one set, 2 hours show. Definitely digging the energy and looseness of this show. The sound is amazing as well.

Second listen ever to Dark Star>Cumberland from 9/27/72 (Dick's Picks 11) Very unique slow build with spacey section before (rather than after) the verse starts at just past 24 minutes. Strongest improvising 12-24 minutes (brilliant high energy stuff maybe 14-16 minutes in) and then some amazing incredible Jerry playing fast post-verse before the transition into Cumberland. I love Dark Stars like this that follow or seem to follow no patterns. For me it came from playing it often and 72-73 is the obvious peak for these sort of performances.

First-time poster here in the Grateful Thread - hi guys! This morning I'm streaming 2/26/73 (Dick's Picks 28, Lincoln, NE), and great goshamighty, the Playin' from that show is just ridonkulous! Gotta be in the top 10 Playin's I've heard!
One of the few DiP I don't have - trying to buy a physical copy of it has been an adventure and a half - they go for a lot and must have had a limited print run. Welcome, and glad you're enjoying what sounds like a great PITB.
Very cool - now I'm enjoying the Dark Star>Eyes from 2/26/73, which is killer too - this is a sleeper show, for sure (as much as a Dick's Picks show can be a sleeper, anyway!). I love the post-Pig, Mickey-free era - it's just the lean, mean Core Four slaying dragons while Mr. and Mrs. Godchaux do their best to keep up. Awesome stuff, and on this show in particular, Bill is absolutely on fire - he's such an underrated drummer.
I'm slowly making my way, piece by piece, through the 7/8/77 show on Apple Music. We're away on vacation at the moment and I'm planning on ordering the box on Friday this week (don't want it to arrive at the house while we're gone). From the pics on Dead.net it looks like a really nice set.
So, I just finished my first run through of 7/1/78 - all around great show. Highlights were Jack Straw, Terrapin Station, Estimated Prophet and Wharf Rat (probably the highlight) for me. Space was a little weird (aren't they all) and back-to-back Berry covers can be a bit much (though Around and Around smokes as usual for 1978), but everything flowed well. Looking forward to delving further.
Did you say this show was just one long set? That seems weird. I don't recall seeing anything else like that unless it was for TV or a festival or something unusual.
