Hi all! It's time to rock n' roll What's the heaviest guitar solo you've ever heard in a song? Rules are simple: 1- Not shredding. It must be different, but heavy! 2- PLEASE Tell us the story behind that solo. Where did you heard it for the first time? Are there any other solos taken place as the heaviest?, etc 3- Do not start "my guitarist is better than yours so yours suck!" and all that 4- Have fun and let's rock! I'll start with the arguably biggest influence in all late 70s/80s/90s heavy metal bands: From Germany, the legendary Uli Jon Roth The band: Scorpions The Song: Top Of The Bill The Album: In Trance Year: 1975 When I was 14 I was given by my dad a CD called "Best of Scorpions. Vol2". Yes! actually I had the Vol2 CD BEFORE Vol1. The needed vol one didn't came until several months later Immedialy I was BLOWN AWAY. 'All Night Long' was shocking. 'Speedy's Coming' had a such guitar intro that was jaw-dropping like no other. I'd never heard a guitar like that before! But 'Top Of The Bill' nearly made me run away! It was the f***ing heaviest song I've ever heard up to that age. And the solo was UNBELIEVABLE. Without a doubt, heaviest solo ever experienced. It was almost a scary but irresistible feeling. It gave me shivers!. Over the years I've heard gazillion guitar solos, but 'Top Of The Bill' remains as the heaviest. I play guitar since I was 13. Electric guitar since I was 15. But I've never tried to copy 'Top Of The Bill', because that solo was made in the outer space. God bless you Ulrich.
