The Grant Green Story (2017) Now available to stream on Vimeo and YouTube. Excellent documentary. Like I Called Him Morgan, a uniquely-told story and style. Cool that they put this up to view for free.

This is a most welcome (budget) release! 5 Original Albums - The Crusaders (Blue Thumb) 5CD Box CD1 - Chain Reaction (1975) / CD2 - Those Southern Knights (1976) / CD3 - Free As The Wind (1976) / CD4 - Images (1978) / CD5 - Street Life (1979) No booklet, no mastering information but all CDs sound like they presented in original mastering. All CDs in (single/no spine) mini cardboard replica LP sleeves - so no gatefold for Chain Reaction or Those Southern Knights. *More information here - 5 Original Albums - The Crusaders (Blue Thumb) 5CD Box
I want to like this more than I do. There's some fine playing but the recording is subpar - at least how I'm hearing it and that keeps me from repeated listening.
It's good. A typical solid ORG Music reissue. Very nice pressing that is fairly quiet. I picked up my copy used for $10 US. A bargain at that price.
An underrated vibraphonist in my book! Andrew Cyrille on drums. Nice work on this one... Walt Dickerson - Peace (1976) SteepleChase SCCD 31042
