The last few days I have been reviving/revisiting all the discs in this neat and compact box set. 5 Original Albums - Wayne Shorter (Blue Note) 5CD Box All great albums for sure but I have always found this one to be particularly extra pleasing.... ETC etcetera - Wayne Shorter (Originally issued on LP in 1981)
Thanks for the correction - I should have realised something was not right with the date! I got the 1965 date from the back of the box. I have now edited the previous post to include the correct issue date of the original LP (although I see discogs website have the earliest LP issue dated 1980!) Wayne Shorter - Etcetera I have just noticed a new title in this series with 5 albums from Freddie Hubbard... I already have Open Sesame, Hub Cap & Hub-Tones but have never heard, and am curious about Goin' Up & Ready For Freddie so any opinions on those albums would be much appreciated. *The 5CD box set is currently cheaper on Amazon UK than the asking prices for either Goin' Up or Ready For Freddie as stand alone CDs!

Little Flower - Julian Erdem (Unit Records) CD with Can Olgun (piano), Keisuke Matsuno (guitar), Thomas Morgan (bass), Julian Erdem (drums) Recorded 2016 and released 2017 An excellent, easy paced, studio album by a band I previously knew nothing about. The sound on the disc is great throughout and all the musicians get plenty of time and space on each track to do what they do best. The CD is packaged in a digi-triple foldout sleeve.
Bill Evans Trio - Waltz For Debby (1961) 1992 Analogue Productions CAPJ 009 gold CD tube-mastered by Doug Sax (using an old pic from eBay) Bill Evans - piano Scott LaFaro - bass Paul Motian - drums A slice of heaven on a small gold disc. Below, the trio playing in London, with my neighbor Chuck Israels on bass, 1965.
Keith Jarrett / Gary Peacock / Jack DeJohnette – After The Fall ECM UCCE-1169/70 2018 Recorded live in concert November 14, 1998 at New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC), Newark, New Jersey
Taking a little side step from the norm to have a first listen to some Cooder that arrived today. MoFi has done a really good job with these titles. I certainly recommend them. Ry Cooder - Chicken Skin Music (1976) Mobile Fidelity UDSACD-2161
Soul Call - Duke Ellington (Verve) CD Duke & His Orchestra recorded in France, 1966 Very pleased to see this CD edition reissued (at last!) in this very welcome '3 Essential Albums' CD set from Universal | Verve/Impulse!
