It's a good one. Same line up found on Harold Vick's Steppin' Out two years previously in 1963. I prefer Steppin' Out! myself but both are worthy.

BOBBY JASPAR / BOBBY JASPAR (TENOR AND FLUTE) / RIVERSIDE / 1957 / SECOND MONO US ISSUE WITH BLUE MIC AND REEL DEEP GROOVE LABELS LP IDREES SULIEMAN - TRUMPET BOBBY JASPAR - TENOR SAXOPHONE, FLUTE GEORGE WALLINGTON - PIANO WILBUR LITTLE - BASS ELVIN JONES - DRUMS PRODUCED BY ORRIN KEEPNEWS. RECORDED MAY 23 AND 28, 1957 AT REEVES SOUND STUDIOS, NEW YORK CITY BY JACK HIGGINS. LINER NOTES BY ORRIN KEEPNEWS. PHOTOGRAPHY BY PAUL WELLER. DESIGN BY PAUL BACON. One of my favourite Riverside albums (did I mention that Riverside was my favourite Jazz label?). Jaspar's version of "All of you" is to die for. The melody and the Jones's drumming alone justify buying this album. By the way: sorry for the over sharpened liner notes. I forgot how to effectively use unsharpening and masking tools ever since I stopped using Photoshop 4 years ago. The front cover, on the other hand, is blurry from the outset... in case the pictures are too big and cause long loading times, just tell me, I'll reduce 'em a little more.

Glad to hear that, but it's too late. Pity he didn't retire in 1980. He can be described as the fly in the ointment of Blue Note CDs and Mosaic sets. I have had to spend a fortune re-tooling my Blue Note collection with Japanese versions.
Re the Monk Town Hall Concert LP, you should listen to an interview with Arthur Taylor on Youtube. It is an excellent, and long interview, recorded just a year before he died. A.T. said that that concert was an absolute nightmare, and he said he never wanted to hear it again. This is not an opinion of mine: it is what an actual participant said. Also, Monk wasn't happy with Donald Byrd, who, he said, was just running the changes.
Tasty collection of originals and standards (Christian McBride's "A Dream of You" is especially beautiful).

Double Getz for me... Big Band Bossa Nova - Stan Getz (Verve) CD Arranged & Conducted by Gary McFarland Recorded 1962. A marvellous 1960s album from Captain Marvel, running at just over 33 minutes. ...and talking about marvellous albums, I think the one below, which was recorded 27 later is even more remarkable... Bossas And Ballads: The Lost Sessions - Stan Getz (Verve|A&M) CD with Kenny Barron (piano), George Mraz (bass) & Victor Lewis (drums) Recorded 1989 | Produced by Herb Alpert
(LP Riverside Victor Japan SMJ-6048(M)) 1974 .... recorded October/November 1957 @ New York .... Johnny Griffin (ts) + John Jenkins (as) - Junior Mance (p) + Wilbur Ware (b) + Frank Dunlop /Wilbur Campbell (dr) .... the leader and his cohorts virtually burn trough these straightforward sessions ..... Wilbur Ware`s bass is tremendous and so is the sound of the dead silent Japanese vinyl press .....
Herbie Mann | Joao Gilberto with Antonio Carlos Jobim (Atlantic) CD [Recorded In Rio De Janeiro] Adding some Brazilian songs and rhythms into the Jazz Beat (once again) with this remarkably well sequenced compilation. It features 7 heavenly Joao Gilberto tracks, all produced by Antonio Carlos Jobim and all licensed from Joao Gilberto's Odeon recordings, circa 1959-1961. There is no Herbie Mann involvement on any of the Joao Gilberto recordings. There are 4 tracks are from Herbie Mann's excellent Atlantic album Do The Bossa Nova (recorded 1962) and 1 track is lifted from his Latin Fever Atlantic album that was issued in 1964. There is no Joao Gilberto involvement on any of these Herbie Mann tracks. Antonio Carlos Jobim arranges 10 of the 12 tracks and is the vocalist on the Herbie Mann version of One Note Samba. CD edition issued as part of the 1200 Brasil Superstar series. The outer sleeve, front and back is in English. Recording info inside the CD booklet is printed in Japanese. Soundwise the mastering on this CD edition is spot on and the music itself is as fresh and uplifting as ever.
