Tricko - Kit Downes (Coup Perdu) CD Kit Downes - piano, organ | Lucy Railton - cello Dated 2015. Playing time just under 42 minutes. A very interesting and unusual duo only record that I have heard a few times now. It'is a mellow, moody session. The music is sparse and almost classical in style. At times I think it would have been an ideal soundtrack for some (unknown) movie. The CD is presented in cardboard triple gatefold sleeve. The front sleeve features the painting 'Shadowlands Too' by Jackie Berridge (2014)

Yes I know and no doubt that it's great set, but I tried to refrain a bit from buying Mosaic since I miss the original covers (Alhambra is a good example, it's so beautiful) and have a bunch of box sets I have to listen to attentively yet.

Echoes Of Indiana Avenue - Wes Montgomery (Resonance) CD I'm playing catch up with this very pleasing and collectable 1957/1958 half live/half studio recordings. The packaging is outstanding with the CD housed in a tray that is secured inside a quality cardboard sleeve. There is also 24 pages of notes and photo's. All this is very neatly contained in a sturdy CD size book.
