Look for 30% increase in Cyprus Hill and Bob Marley releases in that location. I am fine with it being legal for those that need / enjoy it but not sure if that neighborhood needs another dispensary, hopefully they keep the jazz section and sales increase.
Nice selection. Once you listen to Idle Moments, could you let me know how you found the pressing? I had non fill issues with mine that were really bad. I found that pressing quite noisey compared with the quality of music matters.
1998 Blue Note/Capitol CDP 7243 4 94705 2 1 Recorded '70 - '71 Featuring Blue Mitchell, Harold Vick, Ronnie Foster, Idris Muhammad and many others More of a comp than an album but lots of great playing, and a good time capsule of early 70's Blue Note
Jeff "Tain" Watts -- Bar Talk Branford Marsalis, Michael Brecker (ts) Ravi Coltraine (as) James Genus, Eric Revis (b) Joey Calderazzo, Henry Hey (kbd) Like most offerings from the Branford Marsalis crew, this is an eclectic mix, with enough blues, avant-garde and post-bop to delight and/or annoy just about anyone. I don't know why his solo career hasn't produced more albums, other than the paucity and neglect of modern jazz in general.
Byard Lancaster: It's Not Up To Us Byard Lancaster: Alto Sax, Flute Warren "Sonny" Sharrock: Guitar Jerome Hunter: Bass Eric Gravatt: Drums Kenny Speller: Congas Marvin Israel cover art. (He did Coltrane's Sound among many others.)
, A To Tha............K, Oh Boy! Actually, I was commenting on and more curious about the conversion of the Jazz Room because the article I read led me to believe that they were either eliminating their Jazz selections or severely paring them down due to poor sales. Sounds like not ery'ting is Irie.
About time for some new Tain is it not? Have you heard "Detained At The Blue Note"? I'm thinking that could be a hot set.
Bill Evans Trio- Moon Beams (Riverside) A bit of comfort music after a long hard week at work. Also inbibing in some Woodford Reserve Rye Whiskey. Going down quite well with the music.
Yeah that's one SWEET album and a killer lineup! Time now for some top shelf British fusion. Dig it!!! Henry Lowther Band - Child Song
