Received today 4/13/17. Limited Edition 2000 yet I received # 2244!!!! Feel used

Is there a booklet in this? Mine didn't have one.

 

I've looked at a couple of hundred over the past years and found one wally side one only,

 

Only the first 2000 copies.

 

Love the re-mastering of this disc. Great album and I like it more now than initially. Time has helped allowing it to be refreshed for me.

The double 'Wally' original vinyl pressing of The Knack 'Get The Knack', should be considered 'Rare'. It took me several years of constant searching to find a double 'Wally' pressing, and in nearly 12 years of searching I've only found 2 copies. However, the 'Steve Hall' pressings are/were much easier to find, and in my humble opinion, sound every bit as good as the 'Wally' pressings.

 

I ordered 'Get The Knack' from MoFi, and it will be interesting to see if I get a number above 2000. Hyping a pressing as a 'Limited Edition' of only 2000 copies, and then putting out copies higher than 2K is just wrong. It's funny as hell, but it's still wrong.

 

I am pretty sure Mobile Fidelity meant to say "3000". That would be in line with the limit of 3000 for the same title on LP. I could swear I saw 3000 listed on one of the retailers sites for the SACD...

Considering I received a copy in the 2300 range, that is not accurate. My James Gang SACD (also sticky limited to 2000) had no number embossed in little box whatsoever. It was blank. It's a conspiracy to bring more discussion to the forum about what number you received. @Say It Right is not amused with MoFi's fake news release!

 

Oh boy, Why does MFSL even bother. They should just stay with what they have done in the past and press as many that they can sell in the license time parameters.

 

Hurry hurry hurry, step right up, you there young man in the front with the baracuda t-shirt, we have a special strictly limited SACD just for you... BTW, mine is # 2154.

 

My James Gang has the blank box too. There must be a whole batch of those blank jobs.
