After the first 10 minutes it got really good. I'm not OFFENDED by the bodily function/sex/whatever jokes at all, but I didn't think they were all that necessary and I don't think they were all that funny. I've seen those type of jokes done better. But that's just my opinion. I really enjoyed the episode overall. The stealing of the fighter plane wasn't all that believable and seemed forced to me too.

I think you perhaps do not understand the nature of comedy or the point of comedy.

Nice cameo at the end of tonight's episode.

He had a different name. I wonder if if it was just a cameo.

I'm loving season 2...the first two episodes were absolutely awesome.

First two episodes have been good, but I'm sort of dreading the return of all the other characters. I really do like it much more when it's just Phil and Carol.

Based on the preview of next week's episode:
I think the immediate story arc for a while or maybe even the rest of the season will be Carol becoming just as hated by the group as "Tandy." Accidentally killing Will Ferrell's character was the start of that and then next week it looks like Carol is going to be doing a Tandy-style deception (saying that Tandy is dead) that will eventually be found out and backfire.

It was such a build up in season 1 to the point where Phil and Carol would leave the group. They really could have written a couple of more episodes with just Phil & Carol.
    Well, let's see...I loved episode 1 & 2 (season 2).

  8. I think the beauty of the setup of this show is that they can lose or find people whenever they want. A simple mistake like Phil made can make any character go away (permanently or for awhile) and they can add anybody new (or have a guest star for a week) any time they feel like. It's a surefire way to keep things fresh.

It kind of looks like they're setting Carol up to be season 2's Phil/Tandy. What will get her kicked out of the Malibu beach club?

Yep, I speculated the exact same thing in my spoiler tag a couple posts back. I definitely think that's where things are headed.

Sorry! I didn't see that, but as they say, "great minds think alike" and all that.

Tried to watch the second episode On Demand, but they only have the 1st season. Wonder why.

Anyone still watching? Posts kind of died off after Season one.

Just catching up on Season two, and it's still fun.

Still watching. It's entertaining but I don't know if they can go another season.

It hasn't started back up yet, has it? Is it on tonight? The last we saw, Jason Sudeikis had jetisoned out of the space station, correct?
At the beginning of season 2 they started out alone again and I hoped that would continue. But they went back with the old place and then the old group. I'm not so sure the writing is as strong as I wish it could be. They have some funny stuff, but it's not consistent throughout the show. I enjoy watching it though.

Will Forte and Kristen Schaal are still fantastic. But otherwise, it's turning into too much of a dramatic soap opera. It's well-crafted but it's just not fun to watch anymore.
