I rewatched one of my favorite movies last night, Gaspar Noƫ's Enter The Void.

'Hoop Dreams' (1994) on Netflix. I had never seen it before - deserves its reputation.

AMERICAN HUSTLE, which was terrific. An even better movie than I expected from its Oscar nominations.

Jean Pierre Melville's "Red Circle". Still can't see how this 'influenced John Woo as the directorial styles are polar opposites.

The Judge. My wife liked it a lot more than I did.

35mm print of 'The Breaking Point' (1950) - wonderful stuff.

I saw "Into The Storm" for $2.50 at the discount theatre. The story was ridiculous but it was entertaining and had great special effects.

The Winter Soldier - A little too much cgi for me. Redford's character got the best line: "Did you get my flowers?"

At the Mahoning Drive-In in Lehighton, PA last weekend:

    THE GATES OF HELL (1980)
A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET (1984)
    DR. BUTCHER, M.D. (1980)
    TALES FROM THE CRYPT (1972)

Preceded by the band CaveWoman doing a set while a troupe of fire dancers performed.

    Pretty amazing night.

Impressive in 1999,looks a tad dated now. Like to see the complete John McTiernan version.

My last too! I picked up the Quadrology for peanuts. I'm having a blast going through the whole thing little by little.
