My god this is so much a better western than Tarantino's pretentious 'Django Unchained '.

I liked both of those films, they aim for completely different places, I think both can be appreciated for different reasons.

The way, way back - on Blu-ray. Great cast, performances, story and script. Really enjoyed it.

Stalker (1979) on the big screen. 35mm print that got stuck in the film gate at one point. Chalk up a point for digital.

Muscle Shoals ... I watched it last night and was completely blown away. I had no idea who Ray King was or anything about his life. All the best musicians of their day played there which was amazing. Instead of spoiling it for anyone who hasn't seen it, it's one of the best musical documentaries that I've ever seen.

I've never seen the remake but i remember that it got pretty bad reviews.

reviews? like that matters? not to me it doesn't. I'd rather be the judge than a witness...as we all have different opinions...many, many, many, movies that got trashed by critics I loved.

Has it been remade? Anyways, this had Vincent Price, the lovely Carol Ohmart and some pretty snappy dialog. Good stuff.
