I caught Noah last night. Like Lord of the Rings meets Waterworld. Absolutely wonderful and an early contender for film of the year.

Took 4 days but we finally finished "Wolf of Wallstreet". I liked it though felt they could have cut an hour of debauchery and I'd still be able to catch their drift.

The rest of Tom Selleck's Jesse Stone series from my last post. Too bad there may not anymore. Excellent series IMHO.

TCM seem to be in the midst of an audience selected contest, at least last night, and I guess we're getting more true classics than usual. Nights of Cabiria is on midnight Friday. Monday the 14th is an insane schedule with Gone With the Wind, Cassablanca, Citizen Kane, Maltese Falcon, and a bunch of other great ones.

Saving mr. Banks. Mixed feelings; nice cast, but I found the sentiment and especially the links with the past happenings a bit too much ''in your face''.

I would enjoy it more if I saw it when it came out. Clearly outdated and seems campy but that moon scene is pretty decent.

One of my favorite Hitchcock films and the mother of all modern comedy action blockbusters. Besides, it looks FANTASTIC in HD.

HARDCORE with George C. Scott - Gritty, grimy, sleazy descent into the CA sex industry in the late 70s, as Scott goes undercover to find his
runaway daughter. Would make a good double with TAXI DRIVER, for a "take a shower when you're done" twofer. Really like this one, sort
    of an urban horror story.

    House (2008 cheap-ass horror film).

Mrs DC recorded it on the DVR as she loves cheapie stuff like this. This one however was not even so bad it was good...she fell asleep and I ended up playing games on my phone.

Chris DeVoe RIP Vickie Mapes Williams (aka Equipoise)

Dom Hemingway - Jude Law as a violent, foul-mouthed safecracker released after 12 years in prison. Enjoyable character study with Richard E. Grant as his best friend, only slightly marred by Irish actress Kerry Condon's mediocre "American" accent.

HOPSCOTCH - Walter Matthau as a CIA agent who quits the job and disappears to Europe to write a tell-all book,
with The Company desperately trying to find and stop him. Fun comedy-spy flick.

I MARRIED A VAMPIRE - 1983 shot-in-Boston "comedy". Horrendous. I only sat through it to see the vintage
Boston locations, including a quick shot or two of the exterior of the Coolidge Corner Theater. A soul-draining
    experience.

Watched Grudge Match last night with Stallone and De Niro.

Recommended viewing, very funny movie and Kim Basinger still looks pretty dang good.

DRAFT DAY - For someone who doesn't care about football or understand how the draft works, this flick
was comprehensible and interesting all the way through. Maybe a more Hollywood take on MONEYBALL in
a way. Good cast and nicely shot, with the most split-screen I've seen since WICKED,WICKED...but done in
    an interesting way.
