Margaret (the 180 minute "extended cut") - it's not a film for everybody, and it is messy, self-indulgent, etc. But the good outweighs the bad for sure.

In honor or the holiday we put together a collection of classic war films...

    Battle of the Bulge
    Henry Ford, Robert Shaw

    They Were Expendable
Robert Montgomery, John Wayne, Donna Reed

    Run Silent Run Deep
Clark Gable, Burt Lancaster, Jack Warden

    All great films.

The Shining on cable. It struck me, watching the final hour, that Jim Carrey must have got most of his over-the-top and creepy "comedy" histronics from Jack Nicholson's performance.

They used the same roof-top building studio prop for the Virtuosity denouement , that was also used for exactly the same type of hair-raising situation in the Bruce Willis film - Colors of Night. Both fims were a complete mess, anyway.
It is unfortunate , when watching films back to back...one by chance- you come across the same props. Ditto a western saloon used in Bob Hope's The Paleface was also used in the Alan Ladd western, Whispering Smith

Very funny movie, would make a great double-feature with one of the Hangover films.

I watched Jason Statham in Parker on Sunday night. It wasn't very good. I wasn't surprised.
