Cameron Crowe's "Roadies", on Showtime, with Carla Gugino and Luke Wilson. I had heard a lot about this show when it was first on, not all of it good, so I stayed away. I'm sorry I did. This show is well written, smoothly acted, and, most of all, impeccably curated musically. It features a fine acting job by "Blue Collar Comedy" member Ron White, and appearances by various music luminaries such as John Mellencamp and Halsey. It is the epitome of lightweight-just what I need right now-and I'm sorry it's not getting a second season.

The Phil Silvers Show - The Con Men.

First time I've watched The Phil Silvers in ages (I always called it Sgt. Bilko when young).

    Great, great episode.

Just started watching "Suits." A friend recommended it after a conversation about lawyers. The protagonist runs VPI and PrimaLuna with Klipsch bookshelf speakers.

The Deuce, on HBO, from David Simon (The Wire), about the burgeoning porn scene in NYC in the early 70's. Features James Franco playing identical twins, and the scenes featuring the two together are as seamless as it gets. It's very good, with a great soundtrack featuring lots of deep soul cuts from the era. I'm also binging Masters Of Sex right now, so there seems to be a theme here...

I just watched The Deuce myself, the pilot. I've been meaning to simply after seeing a picture of the actress who plays Candy, in an ad for the show.
Good show, I think. Not sure yet. And I know, this was just the pilot...
One really brutal/violent scene (well, what we see re: the aftermath of it) was kind of shocking, but I should have expected something like it.
I'm also left wondering what that movie was that the one black hooker was watching with the old man. Great dialogue in that scene. (Man I miss the IMDB chat boards right show, ****. Damn Amazon, getting rid of that...)

There's an episode where a rival goes through Harvey Spector's record collection to find something embarrassing.

Thirteen. UK cop show about a woman who escapes after being held prisoner for 13 years. Stretches pretty thin after five episodes. Incredibly stooopid police.

The Ice Cream Girls. Two girls kill their teacher, one goes to jail the other is acquitted. All sorts of nasty things happen when the jailed girl gets parole.

I just started watching Westworld, sort of a sci-fi western...I like it.
  23. I'm working at the computer but the TV is on in the background and it's playing non-stop episodes of "The Flash" season 2.

This channel plays a full season of a show then changes to another show. Do you guys in America have a cable channel like that?

    I think it was MeTV.

Forgot how caustically funny that show could be.

That show was channeling my inner Becker.
