I don't think I would have taken that as seriously as you did. Also, I don't think that comment would have made much of an impact on me. He makes jokes likes that often.

Seeing the final show with Jay Leno on there, it would be kinda neat to see David Letterman show up and have those two do their thing.

Given Craig's fondness/adoration of David Bowie, I was REALLY hoping he would have him on. But he has also stated that he was afraid of meeting one of his heroes in the fear that he would turn out to be an a**hole in person. I'm usually not bothered all that much by change, but late night CBS is really going to be a problem for me next year.

Same here. Craig had the best show in Late Night. I am looking forward to November 17 - 21...Metallica will be the house band for the entire week. As much as I can't stand Lars...I do still enjoy Metallica's music. It is a shame that they can't make the Landsbury/McCartney thing happen. That would be a great way to send the show off.

As for the guy that is replacing Craig....I'll give him a months worth of shows. I have a feeling it won't be any good...but I have to give him the benefit of the doubt.

Bowie hasn't done an interview in nearly 9 years.

I also remember Iman being booked on Craig's show several years ago and cancelling that afternoon.

Talking to each other, making jokes etc. They have an incredible history. I know that Letterman wanted to have Jay on his show after Jay left the first time. It has not happened yet. Maybe Jay would rather appear on a so called neutral site with Dave. Along with Craig Ferguson, I think they could have a very funny show. A very cool way for Craig to leave on.

Leno will almost certainly appear on Dave's show before Dave leaves the air. Most likely he's making the rounds of the NBC shows first so his appearance on Dave doesn't come across as a f*** you to Fallon, or imply that he's bitter or mad at NBC.

Watching Craig tonight (as usual) and laughing my *** off in places (as usual). I'm gonna miss this show big time. Nine shows left, I think.

    The end?!?

I was hoping Kristen Bell would be on but Mila Kunis will suffice. I loved the overseas shows he did with those two.

As a fellow expat Scot...I just don't get it.
Maybe its because I've seen him before as a standup on UK telly and never found him funny.
My American wife is a fan. He seems to "borrow" a lot of stuff from UK TV, presumably because no one in America will have seen it.
Or the fact he blames Scotland for his alcoholism. As if it was completely out of his control.
Yes there's a drinking culture in Scotland, but we didn't all become pissheads.

can't believe this is happening whats gonna happen to Geoff? for me this hurts as much as staying up every night to watch it live. felt like i was back in college going to bed at one thirty. the man is just the most naturally funny comedian on late night. the others are just kids who have not really lived life and dont want to offend anyone. thank god for colbert.

Geoff may become the intellectual property of CBS!

Even if Craig had a way to work Geoff into one of his future endeavors he may still not be able to use him.
This happened to both Conan and Letterman when they left NBC.
