Because Disney has been making live action remakes of a lot of their animated films in the past few years. This may just be the one I go see, finally.
Isn't the movie about lions? Are they going to dress these people up in costumes or something? And the entire cast is black except for John Oliver and Seth? What are they doing here? They needed a British accent for one lion and....? Sounds real shaky.
WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY..do they feel they even have to remake this classic animated film???????
This is the same kind of “animation that looks like live action” film as the Jungle Book movie from last year. They’re not going to be running around in lion costumes.
the film is a classic, isn't it too soon to rehash something that is still held up so high in esteem?
It's only a few years less than the distance between the original Beauty and the Beast and the live action remake. I assume the success of that is why they are doing this.
The Broadway show was fantastic. Curious to see if they follow that path and as @longdist01 said above, is Julia Taymor involved.
Hope it bombs so badly that they'll stop with this nonsense. I'd rather see an original idea than a remake any day.
