The Master (Paul Thomas Anderson film in 70mm)*

That's interesting, so the 70mm prints are still out there and being shown? I was actually wondering about that. I see you're in the Bay Area, too. Where did you see it?

 

I saw it at The Castro maybe about 6 months ago. It looked stunning. Really liked the first half but it falls apart for me later. Still really enjoyed the experience. Also saw Hard Day's Night a couple of weeks ago which looked substantionally better there than other places. Wonderful projection.

I tried watching this last night. Now, There Will Be Blood is in my top ten all timers. Couldn't finish it. Looked beautiful, great acting (love Hoffman and Amy Adams), just couldn't get into it at all. By the time Jaoquin got the phone call in the movie theater, I just didn't care anymore how it ended.
