Aerosmith, they were playing a shed and seemed like they mailed it in & played everything fast just to get on & get off.

  2. Steve Hackett- His "singer" made me wretch thruout so that sort of alleviated the boredom. Not a good sign when halfway through the show, you start pining for a Genesis tribute band

Make that 2. Dull with a capital D. Bob completely mailing it in, and the Dead at their turgid worst.

Bruce Springsteen, Wembley Stadium on the Human Rights Now! tour 1988. Good old Bruce was headlining, got 30 minutes into his set and left, not only was it boring but I was standing at the back of the stadium with my wife and the volume was so loud it just sounded like a durge... Bloody awful, beyond belief. You couldn't make out anything.

not to question your recollection but he hasn't played a genesis cut live in a solo show since his first tour in the late 70s

for myself I have gone to shows where I didn't really know the artist too well but felt like I oughta go just cause of who they are and if I find myself not clicking with them can get pretty dull.

worst offender is probably huey lewis I think I was having kind of a bad day too so not a ideal circumstance but I just could not connect aside from the few songs I knew and even those felt kinda like a generic run through.

Depeche Mode at Jones Beach. In fairness I really didn't know the material, but it bored me to tears.

The Keith Jarrett trio. I've seen them three times but the first time (yes, I went back for more!) was with friends at least one of whom fell asleep. I couldn't really blame her ... when that group phones it in they're pretty soporific.

Sorry to say that: William Fitzsimmons (2018 tour)
I like his music an he is funny on stage, but all the songs sounded the same. He was supported by 2 people and them playing the same sounding instruments over and over again was a real challenge for me (not to fall asleep). Sometimes i was not able to identify a song because they all sounded the same ...
I still enjoyed it somehow but i expected a little more...

When my wife and I took our daughter and her friend to see NSYNC.

I actually thought the Black Crowes were kind of dull when I saw them on the Brotherly Love Tour with Oasis (2001).

Eric Clapton back in 2012. It was just extremely boring. Eric coudn't care less about the audience. And the setlist was beyond lame. Have no desire whatsoever to see him again.

Wasn't that the Elton show where Clapton double-billed? Seems like a long slog to get through...

Bob for me as well, may have been the same tour. It was 2003-2004 at least.

I believe my friends and I stayed for the whole thing though. But absolutely no audience interaction whatsoever, Bob played piano and sang the whole time and one song sounded interchangeable at times to the next.

Bob is a lock to win this.

I've seen him in the neighborhood of 25 times since 1984.

    5 were really fantastic

    another 5 were good/ok

The other 15 stunk to high heaven

    Frank Zappa Hammersmith Odeon 1979.

I've just noticed the show is on YouTube, but I have no need to revisit what I remember as one juvenile, smutty song, followed by a extended jazz rock noodles, followed by more smut, more noodles etc and so on.

I left and caught the last of The Fruit Eating Bears in a local pub. Much, much better :)

Son Volt. The last time I saw them, which was about five six years ago, Jay Farrar just stood there looking glum the entire show. Zero facial expression, zero audience engagement. He might as well have been a scarecrow. I love their music but left there thinking I never needed to see them live again.
