Dave Alvin. Whenever I introduce anyone to his music they are surprised they had not heard him before.

CousteauX (formerly known as Cousteau). They do what might be called moody pop noir, and I don't think anyone does it better:

Hans Otte: Some of Otte's works, especially his extended suites for solo piano, are characterized by very minimal means but are nevertheless quite subtle and sophisticated in their architecture and expression. Das Buch der Klänge (The Book of Sounds, 1979–82) and Stundenbuch (Book of Hours, 1991–98) are his best known pieces in this genre, and Otte often performed them himself. His last public recital was given in Amsterdam in 1999. Recordings of these works, with Otte as performer, are available on CD.

There is some similarity to Satie's piano works here, but what attracted me to these pieces was their minimalist/zen-like compositions.

Unknown Hinson. I don't think he is widely known. He's a great songwriter and excellent guitarist. Most folks might know of him as the voice of Early on the cartoon Squidbillies. Here's a live clip from a show I filmed several years ago.

My wife Jenny Bonner (she passed on June 1, 2017.) She was an amazing singer/songwriter and released her debut album in 2016. She was an accomplished cellist since she was a young girl, but she launched her singer/songwriter career late in her life. She was 45 when she passed from a stroke.

She released her debut EP in 2016 and a new single in Jan. 2017. At the time of her passing, she had written a new album, but did not get a chance to record it. My family (also musicians) are in the middle of recording her final album in her memory.

Known and loved by a few around here, but listening to Richard Buckner's Since this morning and his music has meant so much to me for so many years, so an obvious choice ...

I'll play.....I saw Henry Lee Summer back in 1989 when he opened for Chicago. Caught 4 shows on that tour and Henry was awesome. I'm not sure what ever happened to him but his album is excellent, loaded with what could have been a ton of top 40 hits had the timing been better.
