Ya know, just because it says "the picture of your turntables" in the title, doesn't mean you can't add a few personal words too :)

Opps yes. But you know a picture tells more than a 1000 words... :p The Axis is equipped with a Moerch UP-4 and OM40. My main cart is however Shure V15Vx with JICO/SAS.

Thanks! It was a leap of faith to buy my first and last super table. The sound is addictive and when I am at work, I look forward to coming home to play more music. I think that is the goal!

So far it is very rewarding : )

I can imagine, there's a lot of engineering going on within all that acrylic, really looks amazing, but like you say, at the end of the day, that addictive sound is the goal. Cool to hear it takes you there, I've been there myself off and on over the years, but recently I've been getting back there too, fun stuff :)

Did you take your TT for an outside walk?

I keep one in a screened in porch. It's risky but rewarding.

Take from a big-city dweller: having a screened porch is rewarding enough in itself, even w/o a turntable in(on) it... The TT, of course, makes it so much MORE rewarding. Enjoy!

P.S. A cold beer (glass of sauvignon blanc) increases the reward almost exponentially...

It's a Jim Dandy, it's New, it has a fantastic super tracker Shure Cartridge, new stylus, the greatest dust cover ever, and I'm selling it. What's on YOUR turntable platform??

Sorry Jazz, but that platter isn't thick enough.

    :)

Beautiful turntable! If wishes were horses...

It's a nice, 2" thick, dead as a hammer and dead silent, it's a killer, and VPI only wanted $675.00 to let me take that platter home.

I've had this one for over a quarter-century. Cartridge is newer, though.

I had a Well-Tempered back in the day, square motor in cut-out. Tweaked the hell out of it- huge bang for the buck.

You had the "Well Tempered Turntable". Mine is its baby brother, the "Well Tempered Record Player". Today's equivalent is the Simplex:

The Well Tempered Turntable was one of the gateway drugs that made me commit to this hobby. The simplicity and ingenuity of the engineering, and the name just spoke to me...
