Posting again because I just polished the platter ( once a year) and figured it was a good time. Oiled the wood too. Peace

Nice, looks like a Ferrari! Or maybe I should say Porsche for that Acoustic Signature German heritage ...
More of the same, only with other tonearms and other cartridges! SPU Gold Reference and Koetsu Jade Platinum.
I have a love / hate relationship with threads like these. I love to ogle other folks gear, but I hate that it feeds my gear lust! Nearly vintage VPI turntable and tonearm(s) with various cartridges. Enjoy!
Waxxy, I understand how this works! Be happy, your turntable is amazing! If one day you are going to buy a VPI, I would buy a model similar to yours! Take the opportunity and tell us about these interesting tonearms and your cartridges!
Isso é só porque eu uso um computador. Eu conheço duas palavras do português brasileiro, uma das quais não é adequada para impressão. Amei o Brasil quando visitei no início dos anos 70. Muita coisa mudou, sem dúvida.
My english is not different from your portuguese I lost many opportunities to study English, but I was satisfied with the little I know (basic) Even though it has changed for the worse, Brazil is still a good country for tourism! Come and visit us, I would welcome you to the airport!
@Bill Hart , as someone who spends half time in Brazil I can attest to what our friend says! There are some serious audiophiles here as well. Great food, great people, great weather......
Obrigado! (One of the few words I do know). It was lovely when i was there- a school chum's family had moved there and I went during a college break-mainly in Rio, but we visited some outlying areas. I remember the beaches and vistas- spectacular. We had at one point planned a trip further south for a road rally but it never happened. I wish they would restart supersonic commercial. (I don't know if you remember, originally Concorde was going to go to many continents, but it was relegated to the NY-Heathrow-DeGaulle route). I am a bit closer in Texas than I was in NY. I can definitely believe there is a good audiophile community there, I remember the local music scene- though I was pretty young- 17 or 18 when I was there.
I loved the food, the beauty of the people, I was up in the favelas as well as at embassy parties, I made the rounds. I was a kid, no sense of danger. The ex-pats lived really, really well there. I could live abroad, but I'm not sure my wife would. That's a subject we've broached a few times. You bounce back and forth for work, so it's probably natural for you at this point. Did you have roots there before you started traveling to Brazil?
