The Razor & Tie '80s compilation (Awesome/Forever/Totally '80s) track-by-track thread

There are different edits in circulation, but only one set of vocals. There aren't any other vocal takes.

 

I just re-listened to the album version vs. the version that appears on "Pure 80's #1's" and I believe there is a slight difference in the way he sings the line "You like to think you're immune to this stuff" on "Pure 80's", as well as how he pronounces certain words on that version vs. the album version. I suppose it could just be my imagination, but I remember thinking there was something different about it when I first heard it.

 

Oops - I retract my statement. There's a disc of rerecordings on Guardian Records called Very Best Of. I'd guess that the version on Pure 80s #1s comes from there. There's a full thread on the Pat Downey site devoted to this song.
