This tells me the ultimate finale tour will be UK only 2018 and will likely be some historic venues

The Rolling Stones: my first musical love. The first records I owned were Rolling Stones records and I loved them dearly.

I don't blame them for going for it when, obviously, the money is there to be made. But, lord, news of this tour was greeted with the biggest yawn I could possibly muster.

Not trying to be a downer, but the 2017 version of "Jumping Jack Flash," played for the zillionth time, couldn't interest me less.

    I wouldn't bet on it.
Charlie protests but clearly is happy to go along for the ride.
Their Exhibitionism 'show' runs till 2020 and I think the band will still be functioning then....and maybe a bit longer.
Only ill health will put the beast to bed.

No yawning for me. I'm trying to figure out how I can swing a European jaunt to see them.

If someone had said, in 1967, that in 50 years half the beatles will be dead, every band you see on top of the pops, most of them are dead, and in 2017 the Rolling Stones will be embarking on yet another world tour....
    Yeah, right :)

I can appreciate your point of view--it'd be nice to see them do more deep cuts in concert. When the Stones played here 2 summers ago I had no intention of seeing them but a dear friend gave me a ticket. Hearing JJ Flash for the zillionth time was predictable indeed, but witnessing that band-- the embodiment of rock 'n roll, was a buzz beyond belief.

Tough to cross the Atlantic for just one city stops except Paris. Why no London?

Yeah, it's a pity. If not Madrid - which they played two years ago - at least a couple of Spanish dates. You guys are the best crowds outside of South America.

Great post. I think it & say it often. I have to "say it" to people and get them to respond back with the same agreement and amazement in order for it to sink in all the way.

The Rolling Stones should be added as the only non place or thing that is a "wonder of the world."
