I actually really enjoyed Fool to Cry. Not one of my favourites as a rule but it was well received where I was standing and a good performance by Mick.

Fantastic show, really brilliant- Stone cherry popped!

Depends on the markets and the money. Their 2013 US shows had prices only slightly reduced from the London/NY hullaballoo, but everything was indoors. And there was clearly experimenting going on with new partner AEG and techniqes such as flex-pricing and "Lucky Dips". (This quoted article was from 2013, and they had a number of new tricks not yet tried out in the hinterlands, including breaking the $500/seat barrier and selling unassigned reserved seats like they did in the Summer of 2013 to people hoping to score in the Pit lottery.)

2015 was a different kind of experiment. Almost all outdoors. Almost all in flyover zipcodes.

I don't know what they discovered from their experiments, but I'd love to see the lab notes.

    These days.

Thrown into the mix these days are VIP packages, "Platinum" tickets, etc. Big effect on the bottom line. But stadium performances carry their own costs, too - just not enough anymore (apparently) to eat away at the reward produced by moving packages and premiums like there's no tomorrow. Even in 2013, conventional wisdom was still that you had to weigh such things on a sliding scale, and there was a presumption that arenas represented some kind of intimacy that was worth money no one would pay to sit outside.

The 2015 zipcode stadium tour kind of proved that there are more people willing to pay more money for an outdoor experience than previously possible. You just gotta do a bunch of things right. Contrast that with the dregs of "Bigger Bang", when they returned to Foxboro in MA and they had to offer whole lower sections for $20 a seat. AEG reps said in print in 2013 that they would never operate such a blatant firesale of seating (without referencing that incident).

It was barely 30 minutes. I don't care who it is, the opening act should get more than that. The roadies spent longer tuning up. I'm no Oasis expert, but I'm pretty sure Liam is not chopped liver.

Clearly tonight's gross was not large enough and Mick had to ask for loose change!

Great photos, BTW, especially the last one of Ronnie.

    Great pics!!

I think "Fool to Cry" is a wonderful song (extremely sincere, especially for Mick in 1976) and I'm glad to see something rare get pulled out. And a rare ballad to boot! I hope the audience enjoyed it. I'd love to see more left-field choices as things progress.

I wooped and hollered when Fool To Cry came on - I would have bet my house that I wouldn't have heard it tonight!

Also - much better to open with Street Fighting Man - Sympathy just doesn't get us going as well at beginning...

I was made up with Fool To Cry as well and thought it was an excellent performance. Really glad we got a rarity tonight.

Great night again by the boys, Liam was excellent as well before.

Considering it's my least favourite Stones song of all time, and five minutes long, I'd be taking that time to do more than go for a pee...I'd gladly stand in the queue for a cup of overpriced Heineken in order to miss out on "Fool To Cry"!
That's cool though- Ronnie busted out the electric sitar, interesting choice...

Damn, "Fool to Cry" sounds great, they nailed the three-keyboard sound and the guitar licks were tasty. Plus Jagger is on fire, he killed it!

They sound great! "Under My Thumb" is such a groove. That's always been one of my all-time favorites from the '60s. I'd be thrilled to hear that live.
