There are loads of photos of Brian and Luna together out there. Just type "Brian Jones Luna" into Google.

Especially a live album, like John did later with his first Plastic Ono Band lineup.

They had it together for Midnight Rambler which makes up for a lot but then the BBC tv voiceover busts in during the break down and it's like, harsh toke, dude

It's an insult to both of them that Julius Katchen's segment, introduced by an unsteady Brian, is not part of the proper feature. He died four or so months later (followed by Brian soon afterwards).

Yep - the surround mix is not a surround mix. There's just ambience in the surround speakers and hardly any of that. It's rubbish.

An unsteady Brian? His introduction of Katchen was perfect, especially compared to Keith's laconic introduction of the Who.

Yes indeed! Precious film of the wonderful Jesse Ed Davis. One of the great guitarists.

OK, I'll have another look at it. My recollection is that he was a little unsteady in his words. I'm not trying to be sensationalist. I think it's a bloody disgrace that his playing was mixed down or out of most of the performances. I love No Expectations on this - beautiful and tender, with superb close ups of some of Brian's playing.

Yes, but not for the Stones.

None of them actually played. Ian is the only one live, singing to the album backing tracks.

    Of course!

The Who performing "A Quick One" here is amazing! Worth the price alone.
    Plus there's The Dirty Mac!

I guess the Stones also played some songs ...

And for those that don't own it:

    You are all forgiven :D

I don't know why I wrote Mick Taylor here...it is KEITH that is out of tune, right?

Re the thread title my answer is Yes and Yes. Unique Stones performance - great stuff as are the Who and Tull performances (possibly they steal the show).
I have both the dvd and the cd.

Yes - for nothing else other than it displaying the power of The Who to play ANYONE off the stage.

There ought to be law: if you have all the Stones 60's albums you must have this one!
Where else you will find The Stones, Who, Jethro Tull and John Lennon performing, in color 50 years ago.
    A real gem.

The Who are unimpressive on this. I prefer the magnificent Yoko performance with The Dirty Mac.

Have it, listen to it occasionally. Good to have as an historical piece. Lennon, the Who aboard, Yoko hanging out. Brian on his last legs but still a worthwhile timepiece to own.

I love the Taj Mahal performance; it was through RnR Circus that I as introduced to him and have been a fan ever since!

Also, I feel like I've seen two different versions of The Who's "A Quick One" in that I mean different camera angles. Am I dreaming that?
