Wow, thinking about the flimsy shrink wrap, it could be pulled off pretty easily.

 

Well, that blows. Was there a paper "obi" indicating the free vinyl redemption like in this image? I think Target also has a 2-CD version with no vinyl offer.

 

Am I correct in assuming that there are no additional fees for shipping and handling when redeeming the vinyl copy?

Target refunded my account the difference when the price dropped to $17.99 Both copies arrived and both vinyl copies are now on their way.

It is not a remix.

 

I think the reason it is being done this way is to stop other record shops from going into Target. You have to open the CD to get the redemption code. That stops people from selling them each as new for a healthy profit.

Got it a few minutes ago. It was pretty well protected, in this cardboard sleeve within a corrugated cardboard mailer.

 

Just got my shipping notice a few minutes ago.

 

Was a bit worried when I got the e-mail that it was on backorder a few days ago but got the notice that it shipped today. Can't tell from the pic, sparkydog, but - is it the vinyl w/the functioning zipper on it?

I haven't played it yet but I posted in the other SF forum my initial observations:
Packed well like the previous poster said.
Shrink wrapped.
Top Loading with thick paper 'liner' paper inside, nice plastic lined Innersleeve.
180 gram thick record-didn't expect that as i thought somebody else posted it was 140 gram. (?)
Flat, beautiful looking slab.
But......NO DeadWax scribbles. None, not even a Pressing Plant stamp.....I've never seen a legit record with NOTHING in the deadwax area. Very Very strange.
