Cherry Records reissued the complete Runaways backkatalog... good job by mastering engineer Alan Wilson.

I've been patiently waiting for Flaming Schoolgirls and Waiting For The Night to be released on CD for quite some time now. Looks like the wait for one of them may finally be over.

Anybody have info regarding the status of Flaming Schoolgirls?

 

I've seen the first album and Live in Japan as Japanese imports.
Has anybody heard 'em ?
Can get them new for approx. $15US

 

Cherry Bomb is one of the great songs of all time.

 

I have both of them, along with the Japanese version of Queens Of Noise, and feel that all three sound probably as good as they are ever going to sound on CD. I don't think I'll be repurchasing these three, but I'll certainly be getting Waiting For The Night.

If you can get them for $15 apiece then that seems very reasonable to me. I had to pay about double that when they first came out several years ago.

 

The Runaways bring back great memories from my teenage years.

Indeed, aside from the music - which I kinda loved - the album covers of The Runaways and Queens of Noise meant a very great deal to me at the time!!!!
