Thanks to your donations, we have upgraded our server.

It's humming along nicely. Webmaster Rudy will let it run for a few days to gather data so he can do some configuration changes now that we have twice the memory.

How does it seem to you?

Everything seems to be running pretty smoothly. That's pretty cool that all of us banding together has helped the site. I don't know about the rest of you, but I would be pretty bummed if this site no longer existed. Thanks for everything Steve!

Thanks Steve and Rudy! Great work. I wish I had twice the memory. I think I left some of it on the floor at Winterland.

Thanks, but I didn't create it. Our original founder HOLY ZOO created it. I told him that it was a waste of time and that no one would care or be interested. I was slightly wrong..

Ha! Yes, you did get that one slightly wrong. :D

Well then, a huge thanks to HOLY ZOO as well. As far as I am concerned, there is nowhere else more entertaining and informative on the internet when it comes to the discussion of music.

I want to thank Holy Zoo also. I notice he/she hasn't posted in a long time and is a retired gort. I hope he/she is ok and still enjoying the forum and music among other things. Best wishes.

No change in the forum that I've noticed so that's a good thing with the server change. It might be a bit faster but that could be my imagination.

Revamp and Update the "Home Page" sh.tv (abandoned in 2010?)….

I always thought this would've been the best place for you, Steve H., to put up your reviews, news and updates:
Every time a vendor gives you Mac Hardware, or Audio Hi-Fi equipment, or a new Remaster is coming out,
the Home front page should have your review, or your musings, or the story behind the project. (rather than intermingled in the forum topics?) [You can then link to the forum for comments]

Otherwise, Thumbs up to the IT personnel behind your server:
In thankless IT, success is sometimes measured by lack of complaints, and when nobody comments on the big updates you have done, because they are correctly implemented and everything is humming...

I don't notice much or any difference on my end. The board always seems to run reasonably snappy, especially since you switched to the new web forum software. I always assumed that I am my own bottleneck, so that's just what I would expect.

My only real issue is that one of the computers I read this on is a crappy Intel Atom chipped netbook, and any page with embedded youtube links is excruciatingly slow to load. That's definitely my problem and nothing on your end can help that.

It's always been quick, but YouTube vids seem to load faster.
