I got it in the mail yesterday and gave it a listen. I know some people here think it's faux-CSNY, but I like it. Great melodies, amazing harmonies! Nice to know that there are people that can still SING! The surround mix is a bit tamer than what I like. I guess "tasteful" could be used to describe it. I think they could have spread the soundstage out a bit more. Lots of vocals in the center channel and on some songs you get ambience only in the rears. My biggest complaint is the overall sound. It has that typical Brendan O'Brien sound. I'm not a big fan of his work. Going back to his Soundgarden and STP stuff, I always found it a tad "middy" and his drums never sounded punchy enough to me. I would have liked a bit more of a lusher production like what Mitchell Froom can do. The 5.1 was mastered by Bob Ludwig. Overall, a nice disc that might have been a great one.
