    Does anyone have a comprehensive list of the BBC session appearances by the Troggs?

    There are a few on Youtube and a few on a rare bootleg but apparently as far as I can tell none were officially released. It is a shame that none of them were included on the reissues of their individual albums from the sixties.

    All of these are actually on the bootleg I posted the link for above along with a few others.

    I found out you can download On Air: The Lost Broadcasts from Amazon. It looks like the download contains the first 8 BBC tracks from the Prehistoric Sounds bootleg.

    In addition, I found the following additional BBC tracks on Youtube

    Jaguar And Thunderbird
    Little Green Apples (a non-lp track) - This also appears on the bootleg mentioned above.
    Evil Woman

    I found out when searching that one of our forum members @Jae created this. It looks like there are some BBC tracks which came from transcription discs and are all from 1966. I was unable to find some of these additional tracks and would buy a copy of this in a minute.

    Description
    Dismissed by critics, shunned by historians, reviled by some, The Troggs were the first primal punk antidote to a bourgeois pop scene with too many teenage idols.Their primitive pop sensibility was an inspiration to the '70s Punk movement, particularly the Ramones, Iggy Pop, the MC5, Sex Pistols and R.E.M. who've cited The Troggs as a major influence. In 1977, the Beatles and the Stones were dismissed by the punks while the Troggs were embraced. Between their hits Wild Thing, With A Girl Like You and Love Is All Around, the Troggs made 12 appearances for the BBC courtesy of host Brain Matthews. Stand aside for a defining chapter in British rock as we unearth the raw Neanderthal sound of the Troggs live at the BBC from April 1966 to September 1968. Stunningly re-mastered from the original transcription discs, with background liners, original interviews, anecdotes and a plethora of rare original memorabilia.

    I just saw this. It looks like another European release that is even more comprehensive but it looks like it is missing Little Green Apples from the previous version.

    @John Fell,

    Did you buy one or both of these releases? I am wanting to get more BBC Troggs and was leaning towards ‘Live On Air ‘66-‘68’ as it appears more complete, but frustrated that it lacks one track and is found on the other release (The Lost Broadcasts). Can you recommend a release? Thx.

    I bought both of those Manfred Mann releases you mentioned in the other thread. Cool stuff.

    I also bought both of these Troggs releases. I am not sure if you are into downloads but you might be able to buy Live On Air 66-68 and then download the missing track from the other release. You could then burn a cdr or create a playlist. It is frustrating that these are not all together on one release.

    Sorry I couldn't help you more. Maybe someday they put all of these sessions together.

    I may just do that. Get both releases and make my own. Thanks John.

    I just bought the first two volumes of the Manfred Mann BBC sessions. At least they appear complete.
