 Love this . Too funny!

You can fix that no problem....with a VPI's SDS (Synchronous Drive System). Just $1000.00....oh...and a $300.00 dustcover. Yeah, I've got it all. IDIOT!

The cartoon guy actually seems to have a nice system: VPI 'table, Decware integrated, Luxman tuner(?), and Nestorovic speakers. I like the added touch of a compressed-air thingy to what, blow dust off the LP?

Remember actually standing up from sitting and walking - just to change the channel? Think of the calories we burned in the olden days.

Funny cartoon. Looks like the New Yorker. I still have lots of records but rarely play them anymore. I'm one of those people who doesn't think analog beats good digital.

Two things I like about cd's....
1-It's as easy as plopping a meal in the microwave. Kinda about as good too.

2 - You can't scratch them like vinyl

    Yeah right...

Yeah right. We all know what chic magnets we record collectors are. I think ONE TIME, four years ago, when the trend was starting to uptick, I ventured to say to some girl looking at records "Oh, you play records?" just because I was tickled to see a 24-year-old looking through thrift store vinyl. And got this: "$%^& off, you dirty old man" look. That was the last time I attempted to bridge the generation gap through vinyl.

That's great. What's funny is I got into vinyl initially because at least for me at the time it was the cheapest and most available option to buy the most music. CD's where super expensive and at the time no place was selling used CD's yet. In fact many people just gave me their records for free because they didn't want them anymore.
