P.S. I'm not sure if I'd call either of the OMA speakers "ugly", but they are definitely interesting looking.

I know it doesn't really count since this is Dave Wilson's room, but man what a boring space, and I don't care how great the speakers sound. If I had $685,000 to spend on speakers, instead I would buy $600,000 speakers and spend the other $85k on making the room aesthetically pleasing... I know, I know, there's no accounting for taste.

This look exactly like the kind of room were Kim Jong-un would host official party receptions. It's just missing the mandatory firing squad behind the curtains.

This thread seems to have turned into a 'Very expensive loudspeakers that you don't like the look of' thread.

For me personally, if we could just change the grills to black and the enclosures to deep walnut or rosewood, they could sit in my home, no complaints! They are over the top, but I'm sure they sound stunningly beautiful.

These are incredible looking, but would also look super weird in most normal domestic settings. If you had a modern-rustic barn like OMA, they would be perfect.

I was thinking a retro decor would work with those.

For a quick second, I thought a stripped barbie doll was attached to the right side of this monitor. Almost won my vote for ugliest until I found I was mistaken. Deduct 25points!

    Peace,

I think the Hart Audio D&W Aural Pleasure — available in solid bronze, silver or gold (as shown above, with a price of £5 million) — takes the biscuit for me. Some of the foregoing speakers have an unusual look, which would be difficult to match with most real-world décor, but these speakers, which resemble a cross between a boxing glove and a pair of buttocks, actually strike me as tasteless.
