    Still the champ.

One I see a lot (usually not at thrifts, but at other used CD stores) is the 1997 remaster of Kind of Blue.

Here's a reply I made in a similar thread not too long ago:

    In my area:
    Hootie And The Blowfish
    Indigo Girls
    Alanis
    Melissa Etheridge
    Sarah McLachlan
    Crash Test Dummies
Titantic Soundtrack (this might be the king)
    Worthless 90s Movie Soundtracks
    Horrible Christmas Albums
    Enya
Babs (not as common as vinyl though).
    Savage Garden
    Spin Doctors
Bad 90s Country Albums (Shania is the queen).

Others that were common at one point but not so much now:
    U2 Joshua Tree
    Gabriel So

I always see U2 and Tigerlily is ubiquitous. Good call on that one.

I use to work for a used CD store. The owner had a list of names we were not allowed to take due to the excessive amount we already had.

    1. Britney Spears
    2. Christina Aguilera
    3. Mariah Carey
    4. Celine Dion
    5. Enya

We literally had 100s of CDs from these artists that we could not sell to save our lives. The rule was simple. Unless it was a brand new release, we refused them. We would also limit it to only two copies if it was less then 3 months old.

U2 tends to be reasonably common.
All the "Australian Idol" disks and the like.

In the record racks of op shops Richard Tauber is very common.

In general, female vocalists. Sarah Mcl and Alanis have been mentioned. I’ll add Rickie Lee Jones, Beth Orton, Dar Williams, Jann Arden, Angelique Kidjo, Tracy Chapman, K D Lang, and Anita Baker.

It's amazing how universal these are. I'm digging through used bins all the time and see almost all of the ones mentioned here, over and over.

hmm... It looks like a lot from the 90s.

    Back in those days,
I recall bunches of Boston “Don’t Look Back”.

Also worth noting... most of the places I go to are charity shops with a religious bent of some kind.
Salvation Army Thrift Store, MCC, Goodwill etc... so a high proportion of their used CDs seem to be Christian artists.

Steve Bell (??)... this guy must have put out fifty titles... and they've all ended up in the used bins.

Think many of you haven't really rummaged through bins lately. Shops haven't accepted used copies of Jagged Little Pill, The Sign and Cracked Rear View since around 1996.

Anywhere there are secondhand CDs I always see....the thrills - so much for the city. They got a bit of a roasting in Ireland for trying to sound too American. I quiet liked the album. Some really well crafted songs on there.
