The Wachowski's "Jupiter Ascending"

What do people think about this trailer I've been seeing in theaters? It looks a little formulaic to me.

 

It is 100% formulaic, lowest common denominator flashy, superficial crap, but...Mila Kunis!

 

It's "The Wachowskis". There's only one brother left.

 

Fixed.

 

Rental.

 

I didn't know one died. Wow, completely missed that news. The transgender one? Nevermind, must google.

Oh, now I get it, "brother" being the non-PC operative word.

 

My wife and I like (insert any actor's name here), so we'll be sure to check this one out!

This looks so bad but I'll go in with open mind or just wait till Redbox... not sure yet. Mila Kunis, Mila Kunis!

From the trailer I saw, it looks like fodder for people who read young-adult fantasy novels. Pass.

 

How about "brother" simply being the wrong word by now? Would you call Jake and Maggie the Gyllenhaal brothers?

But yes, the trailer doesn't look very original.

 

Man, they started out so strong with Bound. What the hell happened to these guys?

 

Looked like a typical popcorn flick to me. Worth a look at some point (I VERY seldom see anything in the Theater)

 

On DVD, right?

 

Probably stream it on the AppleTV.

 

Some folks don't like to stream and, depending n the agreement, it may take months or years to show up.

Well the trailer is designed to get the average theater for to see the film. Lets wait and see the critical reaction, shall we?

 

They got old, transgendered (one of them anyway), made flops. You know the usual story.

 

Looks like a lot of mediocre CGI. I will probably pass.

Looks pretty awful, like most of their post-Matrix work. Not a good sign that it was delayed from Summer 2014 to the dumping ground of early 2015, either.

But really, we're still not past calling them "The Wachowski Brothers??"

I hate it when this happens. Like, once the director of Apocalypse Now changed from Francis to Frances it was all over for him.
